Evgeny Sorkin was born in Russia, brought up in Australia and has been performing as a concert violinist Internationally.

Talent of Evgeny as a matter of fact really runs in the family. Young soloist violinist grew up in a family with a International record in classical music.

Evgeny's mother - Larissa Oberfeld - is a brilliant pianist and pedagogue , his grandmother - Nadezda Kushner is a concert pianist and his great-aunt - Asya Kushner is concert violinist and professor of violin in Moscow State Conservatoire.

Evgeny's mother and grandmother are both graduates of Moscow State Conservatoire.

His grandfather - Lev Sorkin - and his father - Igor Sorkin - used to perform as amateur violinists in Russia - before they pursued technical career.

After the graduation from Victorian College of Arts in Melbourne Evgeny studied in Moscow.

He graduated from the prestigious State Conservatoire in Moscow in 2005.

Evgeny Sorkin got an A-plus - extremely rare award of such a grade and absolute recognition of young musiscian's talent.

Despite his young age Evgeny already performed in Grand Hall of Moscow State Conservatoire and Beethoven Hall of the Bolshoi Theatre.

His current dream and goal is to perform as a concert violinist in Carnegie Hall with New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
